Super Double Coupons

Okay – just finished my final trip to Meijer. I decided to get very anal-retentive about the record keeping this time :-D

Here is what I got.

56 Pasta Roni World Flavors
48 Pop Tarts 12 ct
40 Martha White Pizza Crust
26 Chi-Chi Fiesta Dips
23 Purell Hand Sanitizer 1 oz
20 Cheese Nips
20 Mrs. Butterworth syrup
18 Open Pit BBQ Sauce
16 Eggo Waffles 10-ct
15 Suave Conditioner
15 Suave Shampoo
14 Betty Crocker Cookie Mix
12 Huggies Wipes 72-ct
12 Crest Sensitivity Toothpaste
10 Sara Lee Pies
10 Ban Deodorant
9 Dannon Yogurt 4-packs
9 Crest Toothbrush
8 Scotch Tape 3-packs
8 Gum Toothbrush
8 Suave Detangler
8 Super Pretzel
5 Milk Gallon
4 Smuckers Low Sugar Jam
4 Cinnamon Toast Crunch
4 Sargento Cheese
4 White Rain Shampoo
4 Special K with Red Berries
4 Froot Loops
2 Bisquick
2 Crest Extreme Whitening Toothpaste
2 Scotch Tape Magic Tape
2 Kraft Mayonnaise 32 oz
2 Raisin Bran Crunch
1 Fiber Choice
1 Prenatal Vitamins
1 Pillsbury Toaster Strudel
1 Mccain French Fries
1 Colgate Toothbrush

That was $949.07 of groceries (including $7.96 total in tax)

$309.63 in coupons
$283.31 in doublage
$335.18 in store savings (rainchecks!)
$42.00 in Catalinas / Meijer fuel rewards

Final total:

Yes, negative. I found a good trick where I would always buy a $10 GC (gift card) with each order. That allowed me to get all of my overage. So on a typical trip, I’d buy a $10 GC, but after all my food and coupons were scanned, my total would only be like $8.24. So, out of pocket I probably went about $50 and have about $75 in GCs to use in the future.
