So, one thing I’ve been doing lately is participating in an online web quest / treasure hunt about The Da Vinci code.
As you may or may not know, the Da Vinci code is coming out in theaters in a few weeks. One of the marketing things that they’re doing is a big ol puzzle with the winner getting some cool prizes. There are 24 different puzzles, one each day leading up to the movie’s release - they’re on Puzzle #8 today.
So far, I have not been that impressed - the puzzles have been pretty easy, but hopefully they will be getting a bit harder as we get further along
So got some good times here. Joel has been having a pretty bad diaper rash, so we have been occasionally letting him run around without a diaper on. Obviously, this has some possible adverse side effects, which were experienced a few days ago when he pooped all over our yellow “comfy” chair.
It was decided that we didn’t feel like cleaning this up (the chair is kind of old anyways), so we decided to just throw it away. Turned the cushion over (so there wasn’t exposed poop), and then put it out on the curb. Trash day is not for a few days, so I have to confess that part of me was hoping that somebody would try to scavenge it only to find a special “surprise”. Okay, that’s a lie, MOST of me was hoping someone would try to scavenge it. The only part of me that was not hoping for that to happen was the part of me that was worried that they’d try to get revenge or something and smear it all over our house.
In any case, when we were driving to church this morning, what do we spy but our yellow chair out on the curb a few houses down :-). Apparently the folks there must have figured our our little surprise. Heehee.
In other news, our ward had a talent show last night and as part of that, the Elder’s Quorum had to do a skit, so we rapped out the “Mormon Rap“. 5 of us had a solo part - I had the last stanza (starting with “My bishop asked…”) - Good times.
