Snow Day
We woke up to snow and a 90 minute school delay. Good thing I check my email so regularly, because just 5 minutes later I checked the computer and found that school had been canceled. I can’t believe I grew up in the cave days where we had to watch TV FOR SEVERAL MINUTES just to find out if our school was closed. Ugh, how did we ever survive??
At any rate, we’re stuck at home today. In my opinion, they should have stuck with their 90 minute delay. By 10:00, the road in front of my house looked clear. Keep those kids in school baby!
This school closing is actually a good thing today because Amy is sick. I don’t know what she has. But she’s coughing a little and all she wants to do is lay in bed. I’m feeling sick today too. I could feel it coming on last night. My throat started feeling scratchy and then this morning I felt like a full on cold is upon me. I’m trying to fight it with some Cold-Eeze. I’m feeling achy too. I hope I don’t have the flu. I didn’t get a flu shot. All by kids did. Now that would be a yucky situation.
My favorite season used to be fall. I loved the change in the leaves. I enjoyed pulling out my jeans and long sleeved shirts. Fall festivals were fun for the whole family. But now I believe that my favorite season is summer. I love the warmth and I love how kids rarely get sick. I can send my kids outside to run and play. We can swim. We can play at the park. What more could a parent ask for?!
