Another House Update May 31, 2008
Since no one really wants to hear me blabber on and on about how busy and stressed out we are, I’ll just show you the latest pictures of our new house.
Dan took these pictures last night, so it’s a little dark in the outside photos.
The siding is almost all on the house!
Here’s a somewhat diagonal view where you can see the three roofs. On the left of this photo is the annoying tree in our front yard that is very over grown and in need of some pruning. One day I’ll get to that.
Our family room with the new flooring. You can see the mud room in the far left corner.
This is the view of the family room as standing in the kitchen.
Dan is still working on tiling the bathrooms. The above picture is of the master bathroom tile. Dan is starting to put in the grout.
This is the kids’ bathroom tile. The room in the foreground is where the sinks will be. The room past the door way is where the toilet and bathtub will be. Actually the bathtub is already in, as you can see. There will be a door installed between the rooms.
This is Amy’s room. The other kids are getting carpet in their rooms but Amy got laminate. She’s had some floor wetting problems in the past and we figured that it would be easier to clean off a hard surface rather than carpet. Hopefully less smell. Eww! But hey, her room sure looks fancy!
And finally, here’s the back of the house. Looks pretty cool with the indoor lights on.
You might be wondering what all those little white squares are. Well, those are where various things will be installed, such as porch lights, flood lights, outlets and bathroom vents.
So that’s the update so far. Things are coming along. But not fast enough for my liking. Unfortunately two of workers, named Dan and Carolyn, can’t spend 10 hours a day working on the new house. I hear they have other stuff they have to attend to like jobs and kids. Ugh! How dare they!
I’ve been waiting for these!!! Where is Amy’s room–across the hall from the boys, which is what it looks like? Or by the bathroom? Can’t wait to see in person.
It is a nice house. Im sure you cannot wait to move there.
Yes, Amy’s room is across from Scott and Joel’s room. Kennedy’s room is down the hall a bit next to the bathroom.
It looks great! I’m impressed with how much of the work you guys are doing yourselves. It will feel so good when you get in and get settled. You’ll forget all the stress and work and just enjoy it.
love it!
Great job with the photo documenting. We’ll probably never see those rooms so empty again.
