I don’t have much to say about our vacation/Groesbeck family reunion. It was nice to see family. The kids had fun visiting the ocean for the first time. (Well, except for Kennedy. The waves scared the pooh out of her!) We spent most of our time swimming in the pool, the ocean, or hanging out around the condo during nap time. We also spent some time in Virgina to see Dan’s dad and family. That was nice too. We took two days to drive down to North Carolina with a stop to Hershey Pennsylvania on the way. And it also took two days to drive home, which is where we stopped off in Virgina for a break. The car rides with the kids were…interesting. Let’s just say I’m in no hurry to travel again any time soon.

But now it’s picture time!

Kennedy happily doing the only thing she liked about the beach…playing in the sand. She cried anytime I even tried to take her near the ocean. I did get her out there a few times, mostly with me holding her. But she clung to me for dear life and whimpered. Poor gal. Guess she’s just too little to like the ocean yet. Hey, I don’t like it much either.

The red shirted Groesbecks. I guess Scott felt the need to stick his tongue out right that second. Thanks buddy!

The Millers. I’d like to point out that all these family pictures were done right after dinner, some time during the 7 0′clock hour. Joel hadn’t taken a nap because even though he still needs one, he doesn’t want to take one. It was blazing hot and humid outside and the gnats were attacking us. None of the little kids were very happy at all. It was pretty bad timing for family pictures. There was a lot of crying and yelling going on. Mostly from my kids. I’m hoping next year we organize family pictures during the morning hours. Yeah, right…like THAT will happen.

One day on vacation Dan and Scott were supposed to go sailing with Uncle Rick and Cousin Rebecca. But there was no wind at all. Booo Hiss!! So Scott got to practice on dry land. Isn’t he cute??!!

When we were in Virgina, we all went to a nearby farm to pick blueberries and blackberries. The kids had a lot of fun! And Amy had the most fun of all. She rubbed blackberries all over her hands and arms. Lovely stains! What fun!
