OK, For real this time
Time to man up. No more being a chicken.
In addition to my two current goals I’m also making goals to:
Exercise 3 times a week. I will determine what my exercise will be so that I can be flexible. Whether that’s going to the Y, taking a walk, jogging, playing DDR, doing yoga, etc.
Only eat one sweet treat a week. This includes things like candy, cookies, cake, brownies, cinnamon rolls or pretty much any sugar laden treat that I probably shouldn’t be eating anyway.
And for my hardest to define goal…
Try to listen to people more than I talk, including thinking more carefully before I speak so as to not put my foot in my mouth. I think this also will have to include trying to not be so sarcastic or making little jokes. I think that is where I get in the most trouble with putting my foot in my mouth, when I’m trying to make a joke and it comes out wrong and I end up being offensive. To keep tabs on this goal, I will reflect on each day during my evening personal prayers to see how I did for that day. I think that’s the best I can do with this goal. It is something that’s important to me. It is something I’d like to change about myself. Just because it’s hard to define into a goal doesn’t mean I don’t want to work on it. It’s just harder to check off.
OK, now that I’ve spilled my guts about my goals, do tell, what are your goals this year and how do you plan on helping yourself really keep them? (Here’s a hint, you have to write them down and it usually helps to tell people about them.)

Don’t know what my goals are but my sis-in-law only lets herself have dessert on the weekend which is kind of like your one sweet treat a week goal. It’s a hard and fast rule she’s stuck to for years, she doesn’t go crazy on the weekends and still only has one serving of whatever dessert she may be having. Just an idea of how to manage the once a week if you find yourself forgetting if you’ve already hit your quota for the week or not.
I really like the “I’m Autistic, what’s your super power?” shirt for Amy. We sure think she’s super!
